Simply Me is the blog of Cathy Feng, a 19 year-old Chinese-Canadian living in China. Her other two sites are Siephed.org and Silver Cat Designs. Cat is an aspiring graphics and web designer who speaks in English, French and two dialects of Chinese. As a person, Cat is a rabid music-lover and enjoys dancing, reading, and pretty much every other (legal) hobby that you can imagine. After what seems like years and years of hiatus leaving a black layout, I wanted something light and perfectly summer-y, which I think I've achieved with this layout. To be honest, I'm not quite satisfied with the layout, but then again, I've been away from the design world for so long that it's not surprising. The quote I used in the header image is by Diane Ackerman, an author whose books I have never read, but I thought the quote was appropriate because I wanted this layout to revolve around life. The image was taken by me of one of the small scenes in my life and then photoshopped to unrecognizable porportions.
